The original ‘OG’ VegasIn24 took place on April 23, 2016 and was completed by Andy Funk in 20:41:25 hrs, still the world’s fastest known time as of today. A charity event at the time, it received incredible support and media attention for its purpose (see below) but also cemented Vegas In 24 as one of the toughest cycling challenges in the world. This page is dedicated to that original ride and the event that turned Vegas In 24 into what it is today.

Andy’s original 365-mile ride to Vegas was livestreamed by his wife Kristi, offering a different perspective and plenty of behind the scenes coverage throughout the day. This was recorded in the early days of Facebook Live (remember that?), so while the quality isn’t great, the additional footage captured will be valuable to anyone attempting to complete the Vegas In 24 challenge in the future.
While we’re at it, make sure to subscribe to the Ho’Omau YouTube Channel!
