Bullhorn Handlebars

Bullhorn handlebars, or pursuit bars, are a type of handlebar that curve both forward and upwards, with an appearance similar to bull horns. They are regularly utilised in triathlons and time trials in order for riders to ride faster and control their bikes more efficiently. Triathletes and time trial cyclists tend to prefer bullhorn handlebars. They are usually paired with aero bars to provide two riding positions, offering comfort and speed. Forward-facing handles assist in riding faster and ascending gradients, and their narrow profile reduces wind resistance. They also provide space for the mounting of brake levers and other accessories. Bullhorn handlebars play a significant role in bicycles designed for racing against the clock individually, where the rider’s sitting position and aerodynamics can significantly influence how long they can cycle and their completion times.
