Cassette

A cassette is a group of gears at the rear of the bicycle. It influences how difficult or easy pedalling is and is central to efficient pedalling.

Cassettes have varying sizes, typically 9 to 13 cogs. The little cog makes you go quick (hard gears), and the large cog assists you in climbing hills (easy gears). Individuals discuss cassette sizes in terms of numbers, such as 11–28 or 10–36. The correct cassette can make climbing hills easier or make you go faster downhill. It is of great significance in changing bike gears, particularly for individuals riding long distances on various surfaces.
