Circuit

A used racing track is utilized repeatedly in a single event.
A circuit in an endurance sport is a race course which begins and finishes in the same position and is completed multiple times. This is typical of the setup in road bicycle racing as well as in criteriums, as well as in some triathlons. Completing the circuit multiple times is favorable for spectators as well as allows competitors to pace their performance as they learn the course with every lap. Circuits can vary in length as well as in difficulty from flat simple routes to hilly difficult ones. Circuits are used in training races or in stages races in order to train in racing conditions in a synthesized environment.
