Circuit Training

A routine that combines both weightlifting and cardio in an alternate sequence.
Circuit training is an effective mode of training in which athletes rapidly alternate between training activities, typically combining strength training with aerobic training. Circuit training helps enhance overall fitness for sport, create muscle endurance, and maintain aerobic health with no need for extended periods of continuous cardio. For instance, an athlete can attempt squats, push-ups, swings with the kettlebell, and stationary bicycle exercise consecutively with brief pauses in between. Circuit training pervades the initial phases of training when athletes aim to increase their strength, develop balance, avoid injuries, and maintain a consistent rate of aerobic exercise.
