Finisher Medal

The finisher’s medal is an award for all who complete the race. It is very much an incentive to success. They are typically awarded in races as short as 5Ks and as long as ultramarathons and triathlons.

A finisher’s medal is not only a souvenir but also reflects the months of training and hard work. Organizers present them to runners immediately after crossing the finish line, inducing a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie. Most runners hang these medals to motivate themselves for the next target. Designs on the medals are based on the theme, location, or distance of the race, and no two are alike. For virtual races, runners can receive medals via postal mail, making the celebration live on after crossing the finish line.
