Inositol

Inositol is a vitamin-like substance. It assists cells in communicating with one another, helps to break down fats, and supports the nervous system. It assists in the production of lecithin, maintains healthy cholesterol, and assists in clearing fat from the liver. The body produces inositol, but maintaining it at optimal levels is achieved through consuming foods such as fruits, beans, and whole grains. Inositol can benefit athletes who require resilience by increasing energy usage and protecting the heart. Other studies reveal that inositol improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin and mood, which makes regular training easier and enhances stress management. Although it is not among the most widely used supplements, inositol is beneficial to overall metabolic function.
