LSD is an exercise that you do at an easy but steady rate for an extended period of time. LSD makes both muscles and the heart strong without tiring the body as hard workouts do. Runners, cyclists, and triathletes all incorporate LSD workouts into building base or recovery. Although at low intensity, LSD burns fat, develops mental toughness, and enhances heart health. Some coaches debate whether or not it is as effective as structured intervals, but LSD is a key component in most long-term endurance training programs, particularly for ultrarunning, marathon, and Ironman preparation.
