Orthotics

Orthotics are shoe insoles that are tailor-made to balance the biomechanical irregularities of the foot and lower leg. They support the arch, align the body, and spread the pressure evenly.
Runners and cyclists commonly develop plantar fasciitis, shin splints, or knee pain as a result of overpronation or supination. Orthotics, prescribed after gait analysis or examination by an orthotist or podiatrist, minimize the risk of injury as well as increase comfort over distances. They are inserted into running or cycling shoes or into regular footwear to deliver customized support that increases efficiency and decreases muscle strain compensation during training and competition.
