The Radio Tour is a live sound broadcasting and communication system. It accompanies and comments on Grand Tour stages, such as the Tour de France, throughout the route. Commentators, organizers of the race, and the management provide information about speed, breakaways, weather conditions, and when riders depart. Cars and motorcycles fitted with radios provide information about the group in the race to the press centers. Supporters, support staff, and riders all use headsets in the team car to collaborate. Tour de France radio ensures the broadcasting is clear, safety is maintained, and reports are transmitted for hundreds of kilometers of racing.
