Roadie

A roadie is a bicycle rider that prefers to ride on the road. They often ride a road bike. Roadies are interested in speed, efficiency, and long distance riding. They usually participate in group rides, gran fondos, and road races. They like lightweight frames, thin tires, and drop handlebars to make them faster. Though some roadies experiment with gravel or mountain biking, they primarily enjoy the strategy, camaraderie, and challenges of road riding, such as climbs, time trials, and sprint finishes.
