Set

A set refers to the number of times you perform a specific exercise or how long you work out. Sets play a significant role in structured training for strength and endurance sports.

In swimming or cycling or running exercises, a set may vary in length such as 5 times 400 meters or 6 times 100 meters. In weight lifting, a set tends to have a quantity of repetitions in the form of 3 sets of 10 squats. Sets are practiced to develop endurance, strength, speed, or skill by accomplishing things in an organized format. Good sets are necessary in order to increase the difficulty and to monitor improvement in the long-term.
