Sign-in is where athletes formally declare that they are present and ready to compete. This is typically done when they collect their packets or the morning of the race.
For multi-day events such as stage races, adventure races, or triathlons, you must sign in by presenting your ID, receiving timing chips, or receiving race packets. Signing in between stages or each day for multi-day events is mandatory for some races. Failure to sign in will result in disqualification. Signing in also assists in keeping everybody safe by informing the race organizers that an individual is out on the course.
