Soft-Pedal

Soft-pedaling refers to pedaling smoothly using your legs without exerting much effort. It is usually practiced in group cycling or in races when a cyclist wants to ease or recover but still keep their bike in motion. Endurance cyclists are able to pedal smoothly when transitioning, to take a break, or to warm up or cool down their legs after or before exercise. This enables them to remain active without expending effort and maintain a constant speed while undertaking long distances or racing.
