Splits

Splits are the times recorded at specific intervals during a race or workout. Splits assist athletes in knowing how quickly and efficiently they are running a particular distance. Splits can be taken for a run or a triathlon for each mile or kilometre or half (swim/bike/run). Splits will indicate error in pacing, weaknesses or positives when observed. For endurance events, individuals tend to attempt negative splits (second half quicker than the first half). Negative splits indicate good endurance and race plan.
