Sweet Spot

Sweet spot refers to a training intensity that is challenging but sustainable, typically 88–95% of FTP (functional threshold power) or 75–85% of max heart rate.
In cycling, sweet spot training is highly effective for building endurance and power. It strikes a balance between volume and intensity, making it time-efficient for fitness gains. Sessions in this zone develop aerobic capacity while limiting fatigue, making it a cornerstone of structured endurance training plans.
