Training Stress Balance (TSB)

Training Stress Balance (TSB) indicates whether the athlete is ready to perform by checking their training and recovery. It is determined by the result of the Chronic Training Load (CTL) minus the Acute Training Load (ATL). A positive TSB indicates the athlete will feel good, and a negative TSB indicates the athlete will be fatigued. Monitoring TSB ensures the athlete does not train excessively and enhances performance on competition day. It is utilized on sites such as TrainingPeaks to enable coaches and athletes to schedule their training, rest, and recovery prior to competitions.
