Tubular tires are unique in that the inner tube is sewn within the tire and afterward fitted onto a specific rim. They are utilized primarily by professional cyclists as they function more effectively.
Tubular tires are lighter and have more internal room for air. They do not slip off the rim when in difficult conditions because they are glued on. They have the drawback that you must replace the entire tire when you get a flat tire while riding. It becomes inconvenient to repair by the road. They are perfect for racing but not for weekend strolls on Sundays.
