VegasIn24 is an extreme endurance challenge first pioneered in 2016 by our Chief Ho’Omau, Andy Funk. The original ride stretches 365 miles from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, over mountainous terrain with 14.8K feet of elevation gain and 80% of the ride occurring in the desert, exposed to the elements. The challenge must be completed within 24 hours and is performed unassisted, unsupported and several rules are in place that prohibit drafting, freeway use, outside assistance, etc. Andy set the world’s fasted known time in 2016 and finished in 20:41 hours. Since then, Ho’Omau acquired the VegasIn24 brand and turned it into a 4 city challenge. Riders commence from Los Angeles using the original route, or otherwise start in San Diego, Phoenix or Reno, all ending in Las Vegas and all routes being extremely difficult to complete within the 24 hours time limit.
