Zones

“Zones” that are referred to in endurance training generally refer to various heart rates or power levels. Each level produces specific body reactions. Typical zone systems have levels such as the level of recovery, aerobic endurance level, aerobic threshold level, anaerobic threshold level, and anaerobic level. Each level contributes to developing endurance, building strength, or enhancing speed. Athletes tend to train in certain zones to enhance various aspects of their performance.
