We are not a fan of cookie cutter training plans, not at all. In order to excel in endurance sports, training plans need to be built on top of data, metrics and a full understanding of the athlete’s life, health, schedule, ability in their specific endurance sport. Multisport training plan design further increases the need to fully understand the athlete for every single sport, and how they dynamically work together in one single plan.
Our opinion: buying a training plan that is pre-configured is bad news. Without understanding the athletes work schedule, life circumstances, overall health, HR zones, power zones, threshold power, critical swim speed, LT1/LT2, Vo2 Max, etc, following a random plan pre-designed plan is destined to result in over or under-training, and ultimately, money and time wasted. Our advice: Don’t do it!
