Training Camp

A training camp is a period of hard work in preparation, commonly in a secluded location, such as a hot region or up in the mountains. Individuals attend camps to condition themselves, work on their sport, and develop teamwork. Camps typically have workout routines, rest periods, diets, and means to monitor their progress. For elite athletes and professional athletes, camps offer a concrete method to study and develop. Being surrounded by others also serves to enhance encouragement and camaraderie. They are meticulously organized prior to major competitions or to aid athletes in transcending performance barriers. Ultimately, the athlete’s ability is tested and developed rapidly with little distraction outside.
