Transition Run

A transition run is a brief run after cycling, typically 1 mile or 10 minutes in duration. It prepares the muscles of the triathletes for the transition between cycling to running in a triathlon. A transition run differs from a brick workout that involves a longer run following biking because a transition run conditions the body and the mind for running following cycling. Transition runs are commonly practiced by triathletes to decrease fatigue and enhance running following cycling.
